Sound Mind & Body exteriorSound Mind & Body, your Hatteras Island House, is a five bedroom home located right on the Pamlico Sound in Avon, North Carolina. Only seven miles north of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Sound Mind & Body is the perfect rental home for your next vacation.

Cape Hatteras, North Carolina is the fishing, surfing, windsurfing and kiteboarding capital of the U.S. East Coast. Cape Point ("The Point") marks the easternmost extension of the U.S. between New York and Florida. The Gulf Stream and other ocean and wind currents collide at this point bringing a continuous change of weather, wind, fish and birds.

Our guests visit Sound Mind & Body to windsurf, kiteboard, fish, explore and enjoy relaxing with their families. The house is located near the two largest food stores on Hatteras Island (Village Grocery and Food Lion). Restaurants and shopping are also close at hand. Activities for kids of all ages are available – spend a day at the ocean (only minutes away) or explore the waters of the Pamlico Sound just outside your door. Our large lawn is perfect for sunbathing or rigging your windsurfing/kiteboarding equipment. Once the day is done, relax in our 6-person hot tub and watch the sunset.
